CT-Scanner
Since 2006, Dr. Marinic has had the Galileos CT Scanner in our Evanston dental office. In the last 23 years, Dr. Marinic has participated in over 1200 hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, maxillofacial pain, laser training, oral surgery and dental implants. He saw the need for three dimensional imaging and installed a Cone Beam Volumetric Tomogram (CBVT) in order to provide his patients with the most accurate treatment planning as well as the safest method to perform these procedures. He began to research in office CT scanners over 5 years ago for his Evanston dental office. Dr. Marinic met with many companies and did his homework and finally selected the Sirona Galileos CT Scanner nearly four years ago. The Sirona Galileos CT Scanner allows Dr. Marinic to evaluate your oral health and discuss with you in office the safest and most accurate treatment plan.
In addition to performing complex diagnosis, three dimensional CT scans allow for virtual treatment planning. This is the safest and most accurate way to plan the placement of dental implants. Vital structures are identified, the optimal position of the teeth are determined and then the dental implant surgery is performed virtually.
Finally, a patient specific computer milled surgical guide is fabricated in Germany and overnighted to our office. The surgical guide is extremely precise and reduces the time required to place dental implants.
